Towards Kudremukh Peak
Panoramic view of Kudremukh Range and Ontimara
Journey pursued after taking a suffitient rest at Onti mara . . .
from here onwards trekking reaches lil difficult level. .
But magnificent view of Kudremukh range made us to forget all the
difficulties and reach our destination . .
some snaps b4 reaching the un-named falls en route Kudremukh
Un-named falls en-route Kudremukh Peak
After crossing the falls one has to trek nearly 1 km to get the elevation of apprx 1800mts.
This is the hardest part of the trek.Nearly 60-70degree steep elevation.
From here, the view of Kudremukh range is splendid . .just can't explain in words ..
It was already nearly 1pm in the afternoon. And we were in search of good dining place.
We noticed nearly 5-6 random falls atop . . I captured some of them . .
just take a look . . .
nothing to explain more . . Pics will tell the further story . .enjoyy . ..
This is the dangerous part of the trek. One has to cross this falls in order to
pursue the trek.It was very slippery ..In monsoon time be careful . .
Breath taking view of Kudremukh valley
Some random falls en-route
At about 1800mts there is a British ruined bungalow . .
I wonder how they transported raw materials to such a place
where trekking itself is a challenging . .
Some of them call it as a ruined church built by British.
once upon a time it was the property of British LOBO . .
Ruined bungalow is located on the right side of the trail.
Proceed some half a km further from Bungalow. There is a good place for
relaxing and also for lunch beside the stream. We opened our packed lunch and
had very good lunch..Relaxed a bit ...
Ruined British Bunglow
Just after finishing our lunch it started raining heavily . . .
Final Destination : Kudremukh Peak (KMP)
After finishing lunch we took some 10 mins rest.At that time it was started raining heavily.
Its the time for us to move quickly.Because it was already 2:30pm.If it starts raining
at that high altitude then its not gonna be stop in a while. And also trekking becomes
more difficult.
The last stretch is quite steep. Finally we reached the peak at exactly 2:50 pm . .
Wooow . .wooooo . .its an amazing feeling . .all were lil more excited . . .
And it was still raining .. .
At last we were on the Very prominent peak of Kudremukh range.ie,Kudremukh peak (KMP)
At the summit
KMP:The final destination
Returning back from KMP
By the time we reached guides place, hot water was ready and what more can u expect after one hell of a trek . .We halted in Sathish's house. Dinner was hot and spicy. . .Thats the end of our first day escapade . . .
