. .Continued from Here

After pitching the tents we prepared maggie and enjoyed it a lot...
Its much more tastier dan we often eat in Bangalore.

Then we got settled in our tents at aroung 9:30Pm....
After having a pleasant sleep we got ourselves ready for the SUN rise...

Woke up at early morning 5:30 .... It was much more colder than last night.
Once again we setup campfire and made ourselves comfortable.

Then we packed all our stuffs and got ready for the descend.
From KP to Beedhalli its 7kms and from Beedhalli to bus stop 5kms.
so total 12kms.

We started from KP at 7:30 am.Reached Beedhalli at 12 noon.
On the way u can see pushpagiri water falls.
Its very refreshing, cold and crystal clear water.
We took bath there and proceeded to Beedhalli.
From Beedhalli APC water falls is half a km.

Its maggie time....

WaterFalls at Beedalli APC

After taking bath in Kp falls we proceeded towards Beedalli APC.
Beedalli apc is another half a km from d falls.U will encounter one
hanging bridge before reaching beedalli apc.

We reached Beedalli apc around 12 noon. We enquired about buses,
they said that one has to walk 5 kms from apc in order to catch a bus
to somvarpet at 3pm,thats the only one bus.

then we started to walk towards bus stop which is still 5 kms from apc.
On the way to bus stop we saw Shantha mallikarjuna swamy temple.
We asked for lunch, but it was already late.Lunch will close at 12noon,
one of the priest quoted.

complete one hr rest.bus arrived at 3:30pm and we reached smpet at 5pm.

Kumara Parvatha, Pure trekking in Nature,Part 2

 . .Continued from Here

27-12-11

Alarm rang at exact 4:30 am.We finished all our duties and got ready for mighty task.Had a decent breakfast at 6:30 am.At 7:am we started our never ending journey......

We started our trekking from Kukke subramanya side which is considered to be
tough trek.We already ready for the mighty task.We know the every inch of trekking by means of google and from my friends.
One will notice, probably only 3 water points along the trek during winter and summer.
There is no water issue while trekking in monsoon season. So,get atleast one ltr bottle with u.
Some blogs describe that first water point is Bhatru mane(Bhat's house).ie,7kms from Kukke.Bhatru mane is the only one point where u can get food.
Bhat's house is halfway through the peak.ie 7kms from starting point.

We discovered new water source while trekking. After climbing 2 - 2.5kms kms u will find one dustbin.
take right deviation, proceed some 300mts downwards to find the stream. water is very cold and purest form. Its very refreshing after 2 2.5kms trek.
We started at 7am and reached water stream at 8:30am-9am.

Initial 6 kms u have to pass thru thick forest. There was no absolute sun contact.

After one or one and half hour good trekking,u will find one dustbin,Take right at that dustbin.Proceed some 300 mts.

Refreshing water stream.First water spot.
Bheemana kallu.(Bheema's rock,giant rock)
After refreshing at fresh, cold, pure water stream,we headed towards Bhat's house.

From the stream Bhat's house is another 4kms.In which still 3 kms

you have to pass through dense forest, remaining one km through grasslands.

From Bhat's house u have to trek through grasslands.During monsoon and post monsoon

one can see lush green grassland.During winter, lush green color diminishes.

Bhat is serving the trekkers from past 10 years or so..

It is the only one house you will observe along the trek.

basic food is provided for the trekkers to energise themselves at reasonable rate.

One unlimited meal will cost u 60 buks.Meal contains rice, rasam, sambar, pickles,

leamon rice, butter milk. All I can say about the food is,worth for money.

We reached Bhat's house at 10:30 and enquired about food.

They said that food is only available after 11:30 am.

so we took complete one hr rest before taking meal.

However we took 3n half hr to reach Bhat's house.ie,7kms.
