Kumara Parvatha, Pure trekking in Nature,Part 1

Kumara Parvatha is situated in western ghats and it can be accessed only by trekking.

There are two approaches to reach the peak.
1)Somvarpet(beedalli apc) - Kumara parvatha peak (7kms).(easier) 7/10
2)Kukke subramanya - kp peak (14kms).(toughest) 9/10

we choosed the second option coz,the trail is very scenic. And we decided to ascend towards Somvarpet side.

Our trekking trail:
Kukke subramanya temple - Kp peak(14kms).
Kp peak - Beedalli apc (7kms)
Beedalli apc - bus stop(5kms).
so total apprx 26kms...

So as per our plan we booked train ticket to Kukke subramanya from bangalore. The train route is absolutely wonderful.
Sakleshpur to kukke route is very scenic.
Train passes through 58 tunnels.....
and more than 100 bridges   n 100 curves...

We collected tents and sleeping bags. Finally started from bangalore on 26th dec morning.Reached Kukke subramanya at evening 5pm....

Take a look at Sakleshpur to Kukke subramanya train route.

Yedakumeri Station

We reached kukke at evening around 6pm...and surprisingly all rooms were booked.
So we enquired about private rooms but price is too high to accommodate single day.
They were asking double rates. Some how we managed to get a room in decent lodge for 800 bucks for one night....

So we freshened up there and got the darshan of lord kukke subramanya.
Then we went for a little shoping for our next day adventures.
Bought all first aid items and matches,Maggie etc..... and got prepared ourselves for the next day trek.
All bags were perfectly packed and gone to sleep.
